Virtual Reality Cabin

I made this project for my virtual reality class at school, and it was wonderful to apply my art to a more gamified platform. The environment is based off of a real cabin I’ve been visiting since I was a kid. And although I took some artistic liberties with it’s 3D translation, it still brings about a lot of nostalgia for me.

The models were made in 3DS Max, with textures painted in Substance Painter. I then exported everything into Unreal and worked with the blueprints to add some interactivity to the scene. It took me a total of 3 months to create.

I think my favorite part of this project (other than playing it) was painting the trees and greenery for the outside.
