A Wizard’s Dance
This is the first non-narrative animation I’ve done, and it was inspired by Panda Bear’s Boys Latin music video. I really liked the organic growth coming from the main character in that video, and with Cinema 4D’s new release of Fields with r20, I tried to get that same look. For the background of the dance, I converted the topology of Cinema 4D’s landscapes into splines, flattened them, and combined them with a sweep and a mildly animated displacer to get a pulsing floor. I used a cloner on sphere primitives and added sound and random fields to effect their size and position respectively. Finally, I added in a camera and used the wizard’s body as the target object for depth of field.
